The Westminster MP's voting for their Pay rises Lie.

This is an often used Lie by Scots Nationalists to suggest other Political Parties MP's don't turn up for important Votes but yet are self interested in voting for their own benefits.

On two counts it is always wrong.

1: MP's don't debate or vote for their own pay rises anymore, its done by the Independent wages and Expense's watchdog IPSA since May 2010, so any such meme along these lines is clearly complete rubbish and a deliberate attempt to tell a blatant Lie.
 http://www.parliament.uk/about/mps-and-lords/members/pay-mps/

2: Photos of empty benches simply don't relate to the events the poster is trying to lie about, they are photos of other minor debates that often run on late and sometimes even into the very late evenings completely unrelated to the events involved. It's really not unusual for minor debates to go on with only a small number of MP's  in attendance. There is not anything unusual about this , minor debates that often are not policy related or new lawmaking can go on in the House of commons at anytime. The House of Commons is open to the Public who can queue to get in and and sit and watch debates in action...not guarantee you will find whats happening at the time exciting though.

So this post below is simply a Lie on all counts.

Below are some supposed photos from earlier Social Media postings on "grievance posts", the common sort of themes are very easy to see.

"It’s very fashionable these days to be despondent about the quality of our politicians. They’re all lazy liars who look only to their interests and neglect their duties to their constituents because they’d rather be grunting and snorting around a trough before sticking their snouts in it. And while the expenses scandal, resignations and court cases show that a lot of anti-politics sentiment has been provoked by the politicians themselves, it’s worth remembering that not every accusation levelled at Westminster is fair.

Over the past couple of years, a trend for internet memes about politicians has grown. Those graphics tend to juxtapose two images from Parliament, one showing lots of MPs apparently very interested in something, another with a handful of sleepy politicians loafing about on the Commons benches. Naturally, the first image bears a caption suggesting that MPs are debating something that benefits them personally, while the second claims they’re voting on something that affects very vulnerable people."

The "We never get the Government we Voted for " Lie

1951 Scotland voted Tory; we got a Tory Govt.
1955 Scotland voted Tory; we got a Tory Govt.
1959 Scotland voted Tory; we got a Tory Govt....
1964 Scotland voted Labour; we got a Labour Govt, however England voted Tory.
1966 Scotland voted Labour; we got a Labour Govt.
1974 (February) Scotland voted Labour; we got a Labour Govt, however England voted Tory,
1974 (October) Scotland voted Labour; we got a Labour Govt.
1979, 1983, 1987 & 1992 we had a Tory Govt thanks to the motion of No Confidence in Jim Callaghan's Labour Govt that the SNP tabled. When Thatcher realised that the SNP were siding with her she then tabled her own motion of No Confidence, which took precedence over the SNP's motion. Supported by the 11 SNP MPs her motion of No Confidence was carried by 1 vote. The SNP are responsible for starting the Thatcher years.
1997 Scotland voted Labour; we got a Labour Govt.
2001 Scotland voted Labour; we got a Labour Govt.
2005 Scotland voted Labour; we got a Labour Govt.
2010 Nobody got the Govt they voted for as we ended up with a coalition.
In 1999, Labour delivered devolution and no one can dispute that in 1997, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2016 “Scotland got what it voted for."

So, the next time Nationalists claim we didn't vote for this, think hard about the real facts !

Scottish Defence Jobs and Less Navy Ships Lies

Yet another stupid Nationalist Meme made to deceive  Closing some bases and moving staff and Soldiers to other Scottish Bases won't loose Jobs. The aim here is too cut down the number of bases in operation not the number of people staffing them. So therefore anyone with half a brain should be able to see that these two graphics here are totally meaningless and unrelated to each other completely. Nationalists are becoming ever more desperate in their efforts to deliberately Lie to other Scots.

Nope , its not only 8 ships that is going to be built its a total of 18  .....that's 5 more than the original amount

https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/type-26-frigate-order-confirmed-build-start-summer/

BAE also said that after beginning work on the Type 26 anti-submarine frigate this year, its shipyards are running at full capacity through the 2030s.
============================================

BAe have decided NOT to bid as prime contractor for 5 type 31 Frigates so these will likely go to Merseyside to be built at the winning Contractors own yard rather than on the Clyde.
See more on link.

https://www.ft.com/content/572e3292-b41d-11e7-aa26-bb002965bce8
=============================================
Why has BAE decided not to build the Type 31e Frigate on the Clyde?
See the info on this link
https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/bae-decided-not-build-type-31e-frigate-clyde/?utm_source=TW&utm_medium=Twitter&utm_campaign=social

======================================================================
An article in The Herald has oddly claimed that shipbuilding on the Clyde has “been dealt a blow” as new support vessels aren’t going to be built there.
The problem? The were never going to be, BAE aren’t even bidding for them.

The "How Scots were cheated in the last Referendum" Lie.

Yet another garbage meme circulated on Scots Nationalist Social Media , if the arguments for Scottish Independence is so great then why do they have to make up so many completely ridiculous lies ?  Have a quick look and scroll down for explanations on why this meme is just complete rubbish.

=======================================================================
Lets split the meme up and deal with it section by section.

There is no source given for the number given in the data given here, a  sure sign that its simply made up , if there was a real source of evidence surely you would wish to show it. "English Tory Immigrants" well, well, well it appear this was simply written by a bigot so yet again no evidence or source of the data so most likely simply made up drivel.
========================================================================

Postal Votes are counted at counting stations before the actual ballot boxes start to be delivered to them from the Polling Stations so they start on these first. Observers from both sides are present as well to make sure everything correctly and  above board. This is when Observer's can count and estimate which way the Vote may be going. There were no prosecutions for "Vote sampling" as there was nothing done wrongly. See more here   Why Nationalists tried to accuse "others" of  illegal vote sampling" they completely ignored SNP MSP Humza Yousaf admitting that he was doing exactly the same thing. As seen on this Youtube Video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKihNnw8B_c   So False, no crime was committed.
=======================================================================

All these accusations are simply conspiracy stories made up by people who either want to create rumours or from people who simply do not understand the counting process and misinterpret what they saw. All of these accusations are explained clearly and completely debunked by this Website post from
WingsoverScotland. So all are False, no crimes were committed.
See this Website link for more http://wingsoverscotland.com/our-man-on-the-scene/
====================================================================

Tory Bookmakers ?  Which ones would they be then ? Just a made up conspiracy theory and not a very good one. All the large bookmakers in the UK ie Ladbrokes, Coral , Betfair, Paddy Power etc are all listed companies that are listed on the UK Stockmarket and literally each has millions of individual shareholders many of which are UK company pension funds. So no large Bookmakers in the UK  are "owned by Tories" or their immediate families. As for paying out before the result was known lets face it just how ridiculous is that ? It's true though that Bookmakers did predict the final result although that result was narrower than many predicted,Bookmakers are very good at working out the odds on who the Winners and Losers will be ..after all its what their whole business model is based on. So once again just completely False.
=======================================================================

I've never heard of this but lets face it highly unlikely, unless of course the writer might be basing their story here on some remote island or such like. More likely just another part of this made up conspiracy theory.
========================================================================

Many Scottish Nationalists do have a fixation (or delusion you may wish to call it) on some great conspiracy going on behind the scenes and that everyone is conspiring again them , it is only in there own minds alone and has been an issue to the SNP as it demeans their cause, even the leader of the YES campaign has stated that there was NO bias from the BBC against the YES side. However Yes activists just love to play "Victim Politics" and do their best  to promote these conspiracy theories to "help the cause". So again FALSE. There are two links here http://stv.tv/news/politics/1361970-nicola-sturgeon-must-tackle-anti-media-paranoia-in-snp-says-andrew-collier/  and here http://stv.tv/news/politics/294071-yes-campaign-chief-says-bbc-referendum-coverage-was-not-biased/ for more information.
=======================================================================

Even stranger then that no-one i know was ever heard of such a story, so we have to assume more made up rubbish to support the rest of this conspiracy story.
=======================================================================

This is just more exaggerated nonsense there were "some" businesses that made their thoughts known that thought separation might damage their businesses and affect jobs,also some companies put their companies names on lists supporting a No vote which they are perfectly free to do if they wished to but there was certainly no great conspiracy here. The words "most companies" used here is just false too there are dozens and dozens of large Scottish companies listed on the UK stockmarket and most simply didn't comment either way on the matter at all. Of course the writer has to get "Camerons" name involved somehow near the end of this meme to focus the made up grievances back on those "evil Tories" again. The side of the coin of course is that there were other Scottish companies came out openly and supported the YES side , yet the writer makes no mention of those ones at all.  I wonder why not ? Once again just more made up grievances to support this memes attempt at political gain through made up false propaganda.

The "Big Meaningless List " Scottish Assets against Population meme Lie

Most people on Social Media will have seen one of many versions of this meme, have a quick scan over it then see the actual explanation of the con trick continue lower down the page.

"The point of the above meme of course, is to convince the uncritical observer that Scotland is asset and resource-rich, and that - of course - independence would mean the country would be highly successful and everyone well off.

The first thing to note though is the phrase
"Scotland represents just 8.3% of the UK Population...... Remember that number 8.3%"
This is setting up the first part of the con trick ..by first producing a relatively small "percentage"number and reinforcing that number again in your memory by asking you for a second time to "remember" it.
The meme then produces a long list of  "larger number percentages " of  various Scottish assets (of completely unknown  value at this point ) and you are just supposed to accept blindly that this makes Scotland and Scots a wealthy nation on the back of those percentage numbers simply being larger than the Scots percentage of the UK population. This is a trick known as comparing "Apples and Pears" ie comparing completely different items as being "like for like" which clearly they are not.  How can you compare a percentage of population with  a number of sheep for instance ? Attempting to do so is simply completely meaningless. You can also see  why the trickster chose "8.3% of the population" rather than "5.3 million Scots population" because 8.3% is a pretty small and meaningless number when the context of it is not understood..it is of course all part of the con trick. So lets now look at some of the "Assets" listed.

32% land area - Indeed we do. So what? What matters is not the amount of land, but rather how profitable the land is. Of our total land area (7,887,324 hectares), only 71% of it is deemed as agricultural (5,600,000 hectares). This means that of the '32% of the (UK) land area', a mere 23% of it is given over to agriculture, with half of this deemed as 'rough grazing'. Also, agriculture accounts for 2.2% of the Scottish GDP. Yes, a mighty 2.2%.
There's a reason that Scotland's population is around 5 million, and it's got very little to do with the Highland Clearances. As anyone who has walked across the Highlands will tell you, much of the land is mountainous and moorland, fit only for outdoor pursuits or rough grazing.

61% sea area (BulletPoint 2)- Since the only things having a lot of the sea area in the UK are economically useful for are oil and fishing, it's worth remembering that Scottish fishermen are opposed to EU membership. Indeed, the chief executive of the Scottish Fishermen's Federation warned MSPs that should 'carefully consider all views as they make their decisions on the way forward' and held out the promise that 'the ills of past overfishing and incoherent regulation could be banished' if the UK was able to make its own decisions on fishing after leaving the EU. In other words, the Scottish fishing fleet would be better served in a post-Brexit UK, rather than a EU-member indy Scotland.

90% "Surface fresh water" (NOT "90% of "UK drinking Water" ) - Great. So what? If I want water I turn the tap on, just as everyone else does in the UK. Would water bills be free in an indy Scotland? Of course not. This is a nothing statement. Fresh water is only useful economically if we can sell it, or develop it as a tourist or amenity resource. The former is unlikely to happen in our lifetimes, and the latter has limited scope due to the fact that lots of this surface fresh water is tucked away miles from any infrastructure.

65% North Sea gas production - Since 2000 gas production in the North Sea has been in decline. Whilst it is true there are undoubtedly still opportunities to be had in this area, the long-term prognosis is not rosy.

96.5% North Sea crude oil production -. Like gas, the future for the industry is not at all clear. Need we remind ourselves of the promises of the Yes campaign/SNP, who told us that an oil boom was imminent? (In October 2016 Scotland's Oil Revenues fell to record all time lows)
SNP Economists are now admitting that Alex Salmonds "Oil is just a bonus" statement was a blatant Lie
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/06/snp-economist-admits-alex-salmond-wrong-independence-oil-bonus/

47% open cast coal production - As people say nowadays, 'LOL'. Companies that are engaged in open-cast coal production are not exactly flush these days. Also, it's odd to see heavily polluting coal being lauded. With carbon reduction at the heart of the SNP manifesto, having and burning coal is not something you'd imagine people want to shout about.
81% coal reserves at sites not yet in production - See above. This '81%' (even if it's a true number) of UK's coal is unlikely ever to come out of the ground. Next.

62% timber production (green tonnes) - Though forestry is an important rural employer, the overall effect on the Scottish economy is relatively small. Our overall economy is worth £179 billion  per annum. Forestry makes up £945 million of this (approximately half of one percent).

92% hydro electric production - There is little doubt that hydro production in Scotland can be expanded. At present 12% of Scotland's energy is provided by this source, with more coming on-stream (pardon the pun). However, given that energy is deregulated and privately run, it's difficult to see what significant benefits being independent would bring to this area.
40% Wind, wave, solar production - Wind power recently overtook hydro in terms of generation. However, with multiple large-scale schemes going through the courts, on-shore potential for development is going to come under more and more scrutiny as developers run out of places to put them. Wave and tidal power are areas where there is considerable scope for increases, but as with hydro, it's hard to see how independence would make any difference to Scottish government policy in any significant way. (When the Wind doesn't blow there is NO Wind generating capacity in Scotland and at Night there is NO Solar generating capacity in Scotland, so while so called capacity exists it is actually "limited" to only existing at all under specific favourable condition's, Nationalists don't want you to think about these practicalities but only want you to focus on bogus "big numbers" to divert you away from the plain  honest truth.)

60% fish landings (total by Scottish vessels) - See bullet point 2. There was no need to have this article in twice all it shows is the difference of 5% that much have been landed by "non scottish boats..ie pointless (but makes the list longer)
55% fish landings (total from Scottish Water) - See bullet point 2.

30% beef herd (breeding stock) - 'Cows for Yes' ? Given that agriculture accounts for only 2.2% of our GDP, stating that we've got quite a lot of cows is starting to stretch credibility.

20% sheep herd (breeding flock) - This is starting to look desperate. Are they trying to pull the wool over our eyes?

9% dairy herd - So, almost one in 10 dairy cows in the UK is Scottish?  So what ? This is much the same percentage of Scots to RUK residents, so how on earth is it relevant ?  Hey but it makes the list look longer (and bigger).

10% pig herd - Evidently we've quite a few pigs, too. So what ? How many is 10% ? Whats the value to Scots economy ..well pretty minimal in the big scheme of things to be honest. (but you guessed it ..it makes the list look longer.)

15% cereal holdings - I'm starting to lose the will to live. 'Cereal holdings'. Good grief.
20% potato holdings - Nope, that's it. I'm dead.

There's little doubt that Scotland could be an independent country. No-one serious would dispute that. However, pumping out this sort of turgid nonsense has the opposite effect to that which the author intended. Spouting untruths, misinformation and downright lies just makes your case harder.
===========================================================================================
The version below is of a different design but once again uses the exact same sort of  "mind tricks" and "diversions" as the earlier ones above.
This one lists the population number in LARGE text, i.e. "5.3" with the "Million" in smaller text, it then proceeds to list "assets" in percentages that are all a multiple of times larger than "5.3" (your not supposed to notice or care about the word "Million")

So once again this one is trying to get you to compare "Apples and Pears" by comparing a population number (made to look as small as possible) with some dubious percentages of Assets which it has called  merely "potential" and "predicted" so these figures are more likely just "Wishful Thinking" exaggerated or don't exist in fact anywhere at all.

Pay attention also to the so called "List of Sources for Data" at the bottom of the meme as well "Scottish Government " and "Scottish Government Analysis" are completely meaningless as they do not tell you were to find the source to allow checking , they are only there to use the words"Scottish Government" as authority to try to enforce the con trick as "true facts".
So in conclusion..yet another meaningless made up meme with no actual real traceable data.

====================================================================
Version 2  of the longer list below is much the same thing, with some additions but all just as meaningless  ...
It's likely the additional numbers added for Construction and other Industries are Gross Turnover figures for those Industries i.e. not the actual profits so one again the numbers are meaningless. You can be an Industry with large turnover but yet actually making losses. Of course the meme no interest in explaining that the whole point here is just to make a long list of big numbers to compare with a smaller one no matter how irrelevant they are to one another.

25% of  the whole of Europe's Wind and Wave potential ? Really ? Doesn't the wind blow across the huge landmass of Europe much then ? I bet European's would beg to differ ?

Version 3 below..just the same as version 1 but "jazzed" up somewhat, the addition of Tartan to the meme doesn't change the dodgy pointless data or add any additional value
Note how all three versions finish off near the end by once again trying to get you compare the larger percentages on the list with the smaller population percentage number. ie trying to force you to make the pointless percentage comparison of "Apples and Pears" again.

=====================================================================
Below is yet another longer even more exaggerated list of made up garbage ..you know the script by now though.

"Scotland and England have been in the Union for 308 years, Westminster has had full control of Scotland's economy for 289 of those years. When Scotland was given her own parliament 17 years ago it had 6% devolved power, numerous years later this increased to 15% by the year 2017 we will have approx 25% if Scotland is in a mess that blame lies squarely at Westminster's door.

Scotland is a country with an embarrassment of economic advantages that any small to medium-sized independent country would give their left arm for.

Just look at similar-sized populations to Scotland

Norway owns half the OIL in the North Sea, 30% of their GDP is reliant on OIL when the OIL crashed our GDP dropped by 1% of course they have an OIL fund that Westminster refused for Scotland.

Denmark would love to have a national drink that generated 拢120 of exports per second.

38 bottles were shipped overseas each second.
99 million cases (12 70cl bottles at 40% vol) were exported worldwide.
Laid end to end they would stretch about 30,000kms - or about six times the distance between Edinburgh and New York.
More than 10,000 are directly employed in the Scotch Whisky industry - many in economically deprived areas.
Over 40,000 jobs across the UK are supported by the industry.
Scotch Whisky accounts for around a quarter of UK food and drink exports.
Scotch Whisky is sold in around 200 markets worldwide.
Scotch Whisky sells three times its nearest rival whisky.
Drinkers in the UK often choose to enjoy it with just a little water, but in Spain, they mix it with cola. In Japan Scotch is enjoyed with lots of water and ice, and in China with cold green tea.
More Scotch is sold in one month in France than Cognac in a year.

Belgium would love to have such a tourist attraction as the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival attracting 500,000 visitors and adding £261m to Scotland’s economy, never mind the beauty of wild Scotland or golf tourism.

Ireland would kill to have Scotland’s online gaming industry which has grown over 600 percent – GTA the world’s best-selling game is made in Scotland and industry experts claim the gaming sector could grow to be worth more to Scottish economy than oil ever was.
Sweden would like to match Scotland educationally, Scotland according to the ONS states Scots are the most educated in Europe, we have 45% who have experienced university degrees and further education, Luxembourg, Finland and Ireland all fight for 2nd place with 40%

Not forgetting we have 16% of world acclaimed Universities and they're Free

Finland must be massively envious that Scotland possesses 25 percent of the EU’s entire tidal and wave energy potential, a source of energy that doesn’t pollute and won’t run out.

Scotland is rich in resources like Whisky, Renewables, Tourism, Financial Services, Food and Drink, Fishing, IT. Farming, Manufacturing, Creative Industries, Construction, Global Transport, Engineering, Medical Research, Oil and Gas.

Scotland represents just 8.3% of the UK population. Remember that number 8.3%
We have the following share of UK resources -

32% Land area
61% Sea area
90% Surface freshwater
65% North Sea natural gas production
96.5% North Sea crude oil production
47% Open cast coal production
81% Coal reserves at sites not yet in production
62% Timber production (green tonnes)
46% Total forest area (hectares)
92% Hydroelectric production
40% Wind, wave, solar production
60% Fish Landings (total by Scottish vessels)
55% Fish Landings (total from Scottish waters)
30% Beef herd (breeding stock)
20% Sheep herd (breeding flock)
9% Dairy herd
10% Pig herd
15% Cereal holdings (hectares)
20% potato holdings (hectares)
All with 8.3% of the population!
We also have a...
17 billion pound construction industry
13 billion food and drink industry
10 billion business services industry
9.3 billion chemical services industry
A 9.3 billion tourism industry
7 billion financial services industry
5 billion aero service industry
4.5 billion pound whisky exports industry
3.1 billion pound life sciences industry
Scotland still has 350 million pounds worth of textile exports
Gold-- one working mine in production last month. Second mine or gold field, found by Aberdeen University, This field has been extended to 200 square miles in Aberdeenshire

There are very few countries in the WORLD that rival Scotland's resources per head and in such rich diversity. We absolutely, unequivocally can be an extremely successful independent country.

Where do we struggle........exactly ?
=====================================================

More Made Up Rubbish here , Scotland only has 90% of the surface water not  "Fresh Tap Water"at all.. just another made up Nationalist Lie .

Another pitiful version of this deceitful meme, for a start note how this one tries to claim "90% of UK fresh drinking water from Taps" rather than actual "Surface Water" (so what if Scotland has Loch Ness and Loch Morar etc ..which IS not processed drinking water) it IS once again just a deceitful attempt to Lie. Considering Scotland has so much Mountain Terrain suitable for Hydro Electric Power its more just a matter of Geography rather than "Scotland being better" , Scotlands Hydro generating  capacity in the big scheme of things is actually pretty small and the SNP has done much to actually ruin Scotland's electric generating capacity in recent years see here  http://scottishpatriots.blogspot.com/2015/09/an-independent-country-without-any.html
=======================================================================================

Another version of the same pitiful made up meaningless garbage
